The complex profiles of car and truck tires can only be created using a large number of correctly positioned venting valves in the vulcanizing molds. Skilled engineering generally makes it possible to avoid the use of flow and venting aids. For difficult tires, Rhein Chemie offers the effective aqueous outside tire paints Rhenodiv® 9140 and Rhenodiv® 9208, which significantly cut scrap rates.
The increasingly automated handling of tires during the manufacturing process and an ever growing number of different tires are essentially made possible by a color coding system. Traditionally dark outside tire paints can cause confusion because they partially mask this coding. Transparent outside paints, on the other hand, often result in visual defects on the tire surface. The new transparent outside paint Rhenodiv® 9160 was specifically developed for application using automated tire blank spraying systems and leads to tires with no visual defects.
