Plasticizers in general play an important role in the rubber industry. Rhein Chemie’s “specialty plasticizers” have been in successful use in the rubber industry for over 40 years. They are above all used to improve low-temperature flexibility and demonstrate excellent compatibility with various grades of rubber.
Rhenosin® VU 90 in particular gives the manufactured vulcanizates excellent low-temperature flexibility and heat resistance. This primary plasticizer boasts excellent compatibility with all polymers, but particularly with nitrile and chloroprene rubber (NBR, CR), both synthetic grades.
