From pioneer to problem-solver

Our activities are focused on utilizing additives to improve material properties. Rhein Chemie’s extensive product portfolio is dominated by smart solutions to the problems of the rubber industry, the sector in which our company is rooted. Established in Mannheim, Germany, in 1889, Rhein Chemie was a true pioneer that quickly gained a foothold in what was then a very young industry. Today, our products include high-tech fillers that give auto tires outstanding grip and prevent the premature aging of heavy-duty rubber articles. We also supply high-grade polymer dispersions to solve complex polymer processing problems.

A further focus of our work is the supply of high-grade additives for mineral oils and plastics. Another facet is the development of extremely versatile solutions to the problems of the polyurethanes industry. There are Rhein Chemie products which protect moisture-sensitive plastics from rotting in warm and moist environments, thus ensuring that safety-relevant components retain the necessary impact strength. These substances also facilitate the complex molding of design-friendly polymers such as cast polyamides.
