The “reinforcing” effect of these two products corresponds to that of additional filler, i.e. they have a particular effect on Shore hardness and moduli. These two grades of Rhenosin® are preferably used in hard to very hard compounds where adding more filler would create processing problems. Typical applications include compounds for floor coverings, brake linings, oil-resistant seals, heels and soles for shoes, hard hose materials, and typewriter/paper platen rollers.
