After Rhein Chemie started to develop a quality management system for the Mannheim site, quality management developed rapidly also at the company's sites worldwide. In 1999, the existing QM system was developed into an integrated management system which also addresses environmental and safety issues. Meanwhile the environmental safety management system was certified according to ISO 14001 at Toyohashi and Mannheim site.
