Join us for a Webinar on July 14: Dithiophosphates in Rubber Formulations

Many accelerators used in rubber formulations create harmful N-nitrosamines, that have been shown to be carcinogenic.  Dithiophosphates offer an effective way to compound around these potentially hazardous materials.

ABSTRACT:
The use of dithiophosphates represents an attractive alternative to conventional accelerators from the point of view of both safety and cost.

With more and more emphasis being placed on safety in the workplace, attention is increasingly being focused on nitrosamine-free crosslinking made possible by dithiophosphates.

This presentation will show the compounding techniques used when replacing conventional nitrosamine generating accelerators with dithiophoshates.  Specific examples will demonstrate how these techniques can match performance properties.  They also represent a non-blooming alternative for EPDM systems where the use of conventional accelerators may cause blooming
